Rwanda Bureau of Standards and Stakeholder Institutions Offered Training to Small Exporters

On 11th May, 2011, Rwanda Bureau of Standards (RBS), in collaboration with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) and other stakeholder institutions that are involved in international trade related activities in Rwanda, offered training to Small Exporters. That training focused on the importance of Standards in international trade, the principles of World Trade Organization (WTO), the Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) agreement, and product/system Certification process and requirements in Rwanda as a tool to market access.


Among other stakeholder institutions, Rwanda Development Board (RDB) made a presentation on Export Skills, Rwanda Revenue Authority lectured on Rwanda Export Requirements and Procedures, Banque Rwandaise de Development (BRD) informed of the Export Finance Products available, the Ministry of the East African Community  Affairs (MINEAC) shared EAC Customs and Common Market Protocols and the SDV Transami made a presentation on Logistical and Transportation Process.
